We are currently looking to hire experienced stylists, associates and front desk team members.
Experienced Stylist
We are looking to hire someone with a minimum of one year experience behind the chair OR if you have received an extensive training program post cosmetology school at a different salon. A new stylist at Japa Salon must complete a paid 1–2-week training internship with our team before working behind the chair at Japa. You will learn how we do things, where everything is, product lines, our booking system, the team and most importantly, getting yourself adjusted to how things work so you can seamlessly get going with your clients! We are a team-based commission salon. If that excites, you we would love to meet you!
Associate Stylist
Associates must have graduated from Cosmetology school and want to learn and perfect their skills while working with a team. What we are looking for in an associate:
Ability to work closely with an educator in a positive and productive manner
Desire to grow your skills as a hair stylist
Willingness to book opportunity shifts and grow your client requests
To have fun and be part of a team
Front Desk Team Member
Are you friendly? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you appreciate great customer service? Do you like an upbeat and fast-paced work environment? If so, we would love to meet you! Japa Salon’s front desk team is all about giving great customer service with a smile.
A few things to know before applying:
You must be able to talk on the phone - this may sound silly, but clients like to call and talk to our front desk team.
Be able to book and check out clients - don’t worry, we will train you how
Maintain a clean and organized area
Keep up with a fast-paced environment
