Hello, I’m Kari. I have been a stylist for over 22 years. I have worked at salons all over the Twin Cities before joining the amazing team at Japa Salon in 2014. Stillwater is my hometown, and it has always held a special place in my heart. It feels great to be a part of the community again. My husband, two children, and I now live in Wisconsin in a little home on 20 acres. I love coming home to nature, beautiful sunsets, the stillness and peace and quiet after a long busy day at the salon.

As an experienced stylist, and one of the OGs, I appreciate the importance of continuing education and staying up to date on current hair trends, the newest products and the latest techniques. I am constantly seeking classes that keep my techniques fresh and up to date. Over the years, I have taken countless classes from some of the best in the business. Even after all these years, there is still so much to learn.

I specialize in custom coloring, grey blending and grey covering, helping clients transition into mature styles while maintaining a youthful look that is on trend. I love doing coloring techniques that are completely customized to the individual client whether it is blonde, brunette, or reds. Maintaining the integrity of your hair is always my number one goal, and I am very open and honest about the process and what you can expect for results. I love turning hair into a beautiful work of art, as it is the one accessory you never take off!

But what truly has kept me behind the chair all these years is the relationships I have built (and continue to build) with my clients and watching their eyes light up and their confidence grow after every appointment.Portfolio
